Watching from the bench For all who have been inquiring how the All-Star weekend went, it was a very short weekend with a lot of activity packed in. Friday evening there were opening ceremonies and one of the girls' teams played their first game. Then all the teams were introduced and there was some entertainment and the evening was over. Saturday William had a 9:00 game, an 11:45 game and then a game at 7:30 in the evening. Between the afternoon and evening games there was a team party at a nearby sports pub, and the kids enjoyed buffalo wings, pizza, onion rings etc. Then it was to the hotel for a little rest and on to the last game. Sunday morning there was a 9:00 a.m. game and after that game it was time to head for home, exhausted but having had a great time. The team only won one of their four games but the boys played hard and had a lot of fun. There was time in between all the running to hang out at the pool and since the entire team was at the same hotel they had a lot of fun there too.
