The All Star Tournament

Anticipation of the first game
Free throws to start the game
Looks all alone on the court
Watching from the bench
For all who have been inquiring how the All-Star weekend went, it was a very short weekend with a lot of activity packed in. Friday evening there were opening ceremonies and one of the girls' teams played their first game. Then all the teams were introduced and there was some entertainment and the evening was over. Saturday William had a 9:00 game, an 11:45 game and then a game at 7:30 in the evening. Between the afternoon and evening games there was a team party at a nearby sports pub, and the kids enjoyed buffalo wings, pizza, onion rings etc. Then it was to the hotel for a little rest and on to the last game. Sunday morning there was a 9:00 a.m. game and after that game it was time to head for home, exhausted but having had a great time. The team only won one of their four games but the boys played hard and had a lot of fun. There was time in between all the running to hang out at the pool and since the entire team was at the same hotel they had a lot of fun there too.

PSA NO. 9 - National Pretzel Day

Okay since I have neglected my blog for over a month and missed many very interesting "Holidays", I have decided to start what will hopefully be regular posting with this: National Pretzel day. Did you know? Pretzels are believed to be the world's oldest snack. Pretzels date back to 610AD in Southern France. Monks baked thin strips of dough into the shape of a child's arms folded in prayer. Add a little salt, and Voila! ...the pretzel industry was born. My personal favorite pretzels are the Snyders sourdough, little nugget like things. Pop quite easily in the mouth for a salty treat that can't be beat. Enjoy some pretzels today.
